Information about the mineral resources plot
The licensed site "Onot" is located in the Okinsky region of the Republic of Buryatia on the northwestern spurs of the Kitayskaya Goltsy, in the basin of the upper reaches of the Buryatia River. Onot, a left tributary of Malaya Belaya, 132 km in a straight line to the east-north-east of the regional center with. Orlik.
Geological characteristics of the subsoil area, indicating the presence of deposits (deposits) of minerals and reserves (resources) for them:
The claimed subsoil area is located inside the Gargan structural-formational zone, namely it's a southeastern peripheral part. In general, it is confined to the area of the junction of the Ilchirsky ophiolite cover with the underlying rocks of the Gargan metamorphic complex and deposits of the Irkut Formation and the Ilchirsky sequence.
Orographically, the study area is a highly dissected mountain system. The main orographic unit is the Kitayskie Goltsy Range and the Dayalyk Range. The region is characterized by alpine-type relief. The absolute marks of the watersheds range from 3215 m to 2516 m. The channel marks of the valleys decrease from west to east from 1400 to 1150 m. The relative elevations of the ridges of the watersheds over the bottoms of the valleys are 900-1500 m.
The structure of the area of stratified formations includes rocks of the Slyudyanskaya undivided series of the Upper Archean, deposits of the Naringol strata of the Jurassic, as well as loose sedimentary deposits of the Quaternary period. Quaternary deposits are represented by various genetic types: eluvial, diluvial, and other slope formations.
Intrusive formations are represented by Archean intrusions of the Chinese complex of phases 1 and 2, Upper Proterozoic intrusions of the Ilchir and Sayan complexes, Paleozoic intrusions of the Kholba and Samsal complexes.
Prospects for the gold content of a subsoil area are determined by:
- the confinement of the subsoil plot to the eastern part of the Olginskaya gold ore zone;
- adjoining the Kholkinsky ore cluster of the Ilchirsky ore region;
- the presence in alluvial sediments of watercourse valleys of sign gold contents in placer samples;
- the presence of local primary dispersion halos (Pozdnyakova, 2009);
- long-term development of the relief of the region and the formation of extended sections of valleys with a predominance of accumulative forms of relief formation.
This makes it possible to classify the territory of the licensed area as promising for the identification of new shallow and deep-seated placers of gold.
